Tinie Tempah had a massive hit with “Pass out” -it was catchy with great production. Consequently, other MCs/ rappers took heed and tried to emulate his formula, and that is how we end up with Twissman.
I’d like to say nice things about this track (“Sumo”), as I never like to slate musicians, however it’s just bad.
First of all, the title of the track, “Sumo” simply doesn’t work. Using obese, Japanese, sportsmen as a metaphor, for being a heartbreaker, is just plain silly. Twissman is obviously trying to mimic Tinchy, Chipmunk and Tempah here. Yet sadly they do it far better, making Twissman look pretty weak in comparison.
Ginny B doesn't help either, making the track sound ridiculously cheesy. It's simply a song with no substance.
So what do I think? If you have any taste in music what so ever, stay well away!
If you’re a fan of this type of music, just listen to Tinie Tempah, he does it far better!
